1. What this Privacy and Cookie Policy Covers

• This Privacy Policy covers Playtripper's treatment of personally identifiable information that Playtripper collects and receives when you are on the Playtripper site, and when you use Playtripper's services; and personally identifiable information that Playtripper's business partners share with Playtripper.
• The policy also gives information about cookies; Playtripper and third parties' use of cookies; and how you may disable such cookies.
• This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Playtripper does not own or control, or to people that Playtripper does not employ or manage.
• This privacy policy incorporates, where applicable, any additional guidance about our privacy practices relating to particular products or services that can be found under the section "More about Playtripper Privacy" on the top left of this page.

2. Information Collection and Use

General

• Playtripper collects personally identifying information when you register for a Playtripper account, when you use certain Playtripper products or services, when you enter promotions or sweepstakes and when you visit Playtripper pages or the pages of certain Playtripper partners outside the branded Playtripper network of websites.
• When you register with Playtripper, we ask for your name, email address, birth date, gender, and post code. Once you register with Playtripper and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us.
• Playtripper also collects location-specific information regarding places that you intend to visit; and the location from which you are accessing the service.
• Playtripper also automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, Playtripper cookie information and the page you requested.
• Playtripper uses information for the following general purposes: to personalise the advertising and content you see, based on the details given by you at registration and your activity at Playtripper, fulfil your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients.

Should you not wish to receive personalised advertisements while on the Playtripper network and/or on the Playtripper distribution network through which we distribute ads, you may need to disable cookies and/or opt out of off-network targeting. Please note, it is not possible to disable the cookie which is associated with your Playtripper account therefore, if you choose to log-in you may still see personalised ads.

Information Collected By "Sherpa" Software

The "Sherpa" software provided by Playtripper also gathers some information about the equipment that you use to access the service, and transmits this to the main Playtripper Service. This information is:

• Information (e.g. URL) identifying any content that you download from the Internet (e.g. podcasts)
• The time taken to download such content, and the associated download speed.
• The manufacturer and model number of any external device (e.g. MP3 Player) that is connected to Sherpa.
• Basic hardware specification of the computer that you are using to access the service. This includes CPU type, architecture and speed, number of processors, and memory (RAM) capacity.
• Playtripper uses this information to produce reports about the specification of equipment accessible by our members; and to optimize our services to suit those specifications.
• Playtripper also uses this information to rank the level of equipment available at a specific location (e.g. an Internet Cafe), and provide this information to our members.

• Contents of any files (whole or in part) stored on the computer or external device.
• Information taken from the Windows Registry.
• Any personally identifiable information other than that listed above.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

• Playtripper will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone.
• Playtripper may send personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people when:
  • We have your consent to share the information;
  • We need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested;
  • We need to assist our our business partners and merchants to track visits to and business at their stores;
  • We need to send the information to companies who work on behalf of Playtripper to provide a product or service to you; (Unless we tell you differently, these companies do not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us.)
  • We respond to subpoenas, court orders, legal process, or to any legitimate request by authorities with which we must comply.
  • Playtripper may transfer information about you if Playtripper acquires, or is acquired by or merged with, another company. In this event, Playtripper will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Cookies

• Playtripper may set and access Playtripper cookies on your computer.
• Playtripper allows other companies that are presenting advertisements on some of our pages to set and access their cookies on your computer. Other companies' use of their cookies is subject to their own privacy policies, not this one. Advertisers or other companies do not have access to Playtripper's cookies.
• Playtripper may use web beacons to access our cookies within our network of web sites, in connection with Playtripper products and services and to track your activities on our advertisers websites.

5. Your Ability to Edit and Delete Your Account Information and Preferences

• Playtripper gives you the ability to edit your Playtripper Account Information and preferences at any time.
• You may request deletion of your Playtripper account by contacting Customer Services, verifying your password once more and confirming your choice to terminate the account.

6. Posting on publicly accessible areas

• A publicly accessible area is any area of Playtripper that is accessible by the general public and may be indexed by search engines.
• You should exercise caution if you choose to disclose personally identifiable information in a publicly accessible area. Remember that this information may remain indefinitely in the publicly accessible area of the Service. Also, depending on the particular Service, other users may also be able to view two or more of your individual postings collectively.
• You are solely responsible for any personally identifiable information that you disclose and disseminate on publicly accessible areas.
• If you have a concern about any personally identifiable information you have posted on any publicly accessible areas and are unable to delete or edit it, please refer your query to Customer Services.

7. Confidentiality and Security

• We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.
• We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with our legal obligations to protect personal information about you.
